“The greatest part of my job is when I get smiles from my pediatric patients. Children are remarkably resilient and they often are the ones who help all of the adults stay positive!”
O’Gorman is a board-certified physician assistant who works with the Inpatient Pediatric Hospitalist Team.
Growing up, O’Gorman was inspired to pursue medicine by her wonderful primary care provider who was also a physician assistant. Her first experience in medicine was as a volunteer EMT and she loved being able to care for people during some of their most vulnerable moments. She also enjoys problem solving, teamwork and the feeling that she can make a difference.
She received her physician assistant training at Wake Forest University.
She has a husband, 2 children and 2 dogs, a Miniature Schnauzer and a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. She enjoys reading novels with happy endings and is not a fan of horror movies. She likes the outdoors, playing tennis and attending college football games, particularly Notre Dame and the University of North Carolina.
