Neelam Vijay Desai, MD

Navigating through the myriad choices now available for treatment of cancer is daunting for anyone, and I am grateful to have the expertise to help patients with these choices.”

Dr. Desai is board certified in internal medicine and hematology-oncology (cancer and blood disorders). She has clinical interests in breast cancer and solid tumors.

As an undergraduate, she volunteered for a pediatric oncologist who inspired her to pursue a career in oncology.

Dr. Desai was the principal investigator at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute on several trials, with a particular interest in HER2-positive breast cancer.

She received her bachelor’s degree in microbiology and her medical degree at the University of Florida.

In her spare time, Dr. Desai enjoys being in nature, reading a book on a rainy day, and spending time with friends and family.
