Dr. Neha Kumar is a pediatrician who focuses on caring for children who are hospitalized. She has clinical interests in childhood injury prevention and firearm violence prevention.
She chose to practice pediatrics because of its diversity, complexity and ability to make lasting change. She values the opportunities in her dynamic and interesting role to care for babies, toddlers, adolescents and teenagers – all of whom have vastly different physiology and medical presentations.
Dr. Kumar received her medical degree at the Medical University of South Carolina and completed residency at Baylor College of Medicine Texas Children's Hospital.
In her leisure time, she enjoys exploring the outdoors with her husband, especially walking, hiking or biking on nature trails. Dr. Kumar also likes to read gripping mystery novels and discover new restaurants.
