Dr. Connors is board certified in maternal and fetal medicine, as well as obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN). She is chair of the Atrium Health Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology and is a leader on the Atrium Health Women's Quality Committee. She was honored as a finalist for the Atrium Health Teal Acorn Award for Physician Leader of the Year.
She is conducting a National Institutes of Health-funded research initiative on maternal genetic markers of glycine metabolism. Dr. Connors is also doing grant-funded research with Wake Forest University on COVID-19 infections and their effects on the renin-angiotensin system in mothers and babies. She has a special interest in addressing healthcare disparities.
Dr. Connors received her medical degree at the University of Pennsylvania and completed residency at Christiana Care Health System. She completed a fellowship in maternal fetal medicine and received a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Wake Forest University.
When not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 children. Dr. Connors loves reading health and wellness magazines, cooking new things, being outdoors and running.
