“I get great satisfaction from helping critically ill patients recover from the worst stages of their severe illness and affording them an opportunity to return home to their loved ones.”
Dr. Nicholas Punch is board certified in internal medicine and critical care medicine. He focuses on mechanically-ventilated patients, septic shock and heart failure. He has a special interest in critical care ultrasonography.
As an athlete who previously rowed crew, he is now inspired by the camaraderie and relationships among the critical care teams he’s part of.
Dr. Punch received a bachelor’s degree at Drexel University and his degree in osteopathic medicine at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed residency in internal medicine at the Wright Center for Graduate Medical Education, formerly the Scranton-Temple Residency Program. He then completed a fellowship in critical care medicine and was chief fellow at Inspira Medical Center.
Dr. Punch and his husband enjoy their time away from work by kayaking, mountain biking, boating and hiking with their 2 dogs.
