Towns is a board-certified pediatric nurse practitioner. She specializes in pediatric endocrinology with clinical interests in the treatment of diabetes, thyroid disease, menstrual disorders, growth disorders and abnormal pubertal development.
Towns worked as a pediatric nurse practitioner in primary care for 15 years before transitioning to pediatric endocrinology.
Towns received her master’s degree in nursing with a focus in pediatric nursing practice (PNP) at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
In her free time, she enjoys reading, running, traveling, hiking, trying out new recipes and spending time with her husband, 2 children and their dog.
