Nichole Towns received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Valparaiso University in 2000. She started her career in Pediatric Nursing in the pediatric intensive care unit at Johns Hopkins Hospital. She later decided to become a travelling nurse and had the opportunity to work at pediatric hospitals in Dallas and Chicago. During this time, she gained experience with renal, gastrointestinal, endocrine, cardiac and pulmonary patients. She moved to North Carolina in 2004 to obtain her Master of Science in Nursing from UNC Chapel Hill. Since graduating in 2006, she has been working as a pediatric nurse practitioner in outpatient clinics. She is certified as a pediatric nurse practitioner through the Pediatric Certification Nursing Board. She was able to go on a medical mission trip to Guatemala in October of 2006. She has a special interest in asthma after a three-month rotation with Pediatric Pulmonology in 2009. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, running, hiking and travelling with her family.
