Biography

I’ve always loved children for their resilience, genuine nature and optimism. I’m committed to being a positive role model as they grow and develop. I also like working as a team with patients and their families. Every family and every child is unique, and there is more than one way to do something. Finding what works best is what’s most important.

I’m board certified in pediatrics, and I specialize in preventive care, well-child care and the treatment of patients from birth to 18 years old.

My childhood pediatrician influenced my decision to become a doctor because he made me feel at ease and well cared for. Through pediatrics, I saw an opportunity to both pursue that passion and have a positive impact on people, the same way my doctor did for me.

I received my bachelor’s degree in biological sciences at Clemson University and my medical degree at the University of South Carolina. I completed residency in pediatrics at Atrium Health Levine Children's Hospital.

I have been involved in quality improvement research on neonatal jaundice and phototherapy guidelines at Atrium Health Levine Children's Hospital.

When I’m not working, I enjoy exploring local neighborhoods with friends and family. I met my significant other in medical school, and we moved to Charlotte together to complete our residencies. We love taking long walks with our golden retriever, Koda, and watching movies together. We are excited to continue to grow our family in Charlotte.
