Nneka Okoye is a board-certified family nurse practitioner who focuses on occupational medicine. She performs pre-employment and annual physical examinations to determine the physical capabilities of individuals to perform their essential job functions. She screens individuals for infectious diseases, medical conditions and disabilities. Additionally, she treats acute and minor illnesses.
She became a nurse practitioner to change how individuals think about their health and wellness. She values having an autonomous role in delivering patient care.
Okoye received her master’s degree in nursing at the University of Virginia.
In her time away from work, she practices self-care with meditation, breathwork and yoga. She also enjoys spending time on Lake Norman and in the mountains.
