I truly believe the world changes at home, both in the daily choices we make and in the values we exemplify for our children. As a pediatrician, I see myself as a resource and sounding board for parents making these daily decisions. As a mother, I understand the importance of having a pediatrician as an advocate, and I will use my voice and expertise to help shape policy. It’s a privilege to walk hand-in-hand along the journey of raising those who are vulnerable and precious.
I’m trained in pediatrics. I focus on optimizing the growth, development, nutrition, mental and physical wellness of children. I have a special interest in infant and toddler nutrition, school success and behavioral modification, teen wellness and obesity prevention.
As an eldest daughter from a large blended family and as a working mother myself, nurturing and empathy for working families come naturally to me. I appreciate the preventive aspects of pediatric medicine and love being motivated by the children I see in my practice.
I am a member of the Gold Humanism Honor Society.
I received bachelor’s degrees in biology and psychology at Pennsylvania State University and my medical degree at Wake Forest University School of Medicine. I completed residency in pediatrics at Atrium Health Levine Children’s Hospital.
I enjoy spending my leisure time with my husband, son and our corgis, Toby and Otto. We have fun exploring Charlotte’s dog parks, playgrounds, restaurants, sporting events, concerts and water sports at Lake Norman. In quieter moments, I like singing, playing guitar and reading fantasy, dystopian fiction and science fiction books.
