Biography

I believe every baby deserves the best possible start and every family deserves compassionate and inclusive support. I strive to care for both the baby and the family, and I combine my medical expertise with compassion to create a supportive and empowering environment.

I am board certified in pediatrics. I focus on neonatal-perinatal medicine (care for newborn babies, especially those born prematurely or with complications).

I was drawn to the opportunity to provide family-centered care during a critical and meaningful time of life, often in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). I chose my area of specialty because it combines complex, diverse pathology with the privilege of caring for the most vulnerable patients and their families.

My research focuses on quality improvement and family-centered care.

I received my medical degree at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland - Medical University of Bahrain. I completed residency in pediatrics and a fellowship in perinatal-neonatal medicine at East Carolina University.

Outside of work, I enjoy going to concerts and the beach, exploring new restaurants and cities and staying active at the gym. I also love art, gardening and baking, and I find sipping matcha and doing yoga are my favorite ways to slow down and recharge.
