Biography

“Each patient is unique. They bring their own story, family dynamics, background, genetics and circumstances. I believe in treating the person, not the disease. Everyone requires an individualized treatment plan. It is my goal to help the overall health and well-being of all my patients by making sure they are getting the care they need at every stage of their lives.”

Dr. Onaiza Anees is board certified in adult psychiatry and child psychiatry. She treats problems related to psychosocial, personal and environmental circumstances. These include mood, adjustment, panic, depressive, dissociative, anxiety, impulse control and personality disorders.

Her expertise includes treating attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism spectrum disorder (ASD), obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), trichotillomania (hair pulling), excoriation disorder (skin picking) and neurodevelopmental disorders. Additionally, she treats schizophrenia spectrum, mood disorders, intermittent explosive disorder, feeding and eating disorders, trauma and stress-related disorders.

She loves meeting people and building an alliance with them, while incorporating psychotherapy, medication, nutrition and exercise. She believes in emphasizing the mind-body connection.
