I understand mental health because of my own journey as well as helping family members become better versions of themselves. I know personally that life can be bright and more enjoyable with the right help. I strive to help others who are at a time in their lives that might not be the best.
I’m dual-certified as a nurse practitioner with board certification in family medicine and as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP).
I love learning and understanding how the mind and body work together. Ultimately, I believe I did not choose my path, but the path chose me.
I received my bachelor’s degree at the University of South Carolina, my master’s and doctoral degrees at Francis Marion University, and I completed my PMHNP training at Gardner-Webb University.
I am married with 6 adult children and 5 grandchildren. Most of my activities include church and time with family. I love being outside and taking nature walks. The mountains are my happy place. I recently started swimming and painting, and I enjoy the tranquility I feel doing both.
