Dr. Petros Sofroniou is trained in internal medicine. He manages chronic conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, heart and lung diseases and thyroid problems. He treats common acute issues such as infections, allergies and digestive complaints. Additionally, he provides preventive care, screenings and vaccines.
He chose internal medicine because it allows him to care for each patient as a whole person.
Dr. Sofroniou is fluent in Greek and German.
He received his medical degree at the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice, Poland. He completed residency in internal medicine at Sovah Health Danville.
Outside of work, Dr. Sofroniou stays busy exploring new places, whether that's hiking a local trail or traveling abroad to experience different cultures. He’s always looking for the next adventure to challenge himself.
