Biography

“I believe in using medical skill and human connection to help people regain control over their lives. My goal is to make a lasting difference, not just by treating disease, but by improving the quality of everyday life for my patients. I’m committed to delivering care that’s both technically excellent and deeply personal, meeting people at vulnerable moments with compassion, clarity and action.”

Dr. Rebecca Gerber is board certified in urology. She has special interests in the diagnosis and treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and kidney stones. She also provides vasectomy procedures.

Dr. Gerber was drawn to urology because it uniquely combines the technical precision of surgery with the opportunity for long-term continuity of care.

She is a founding member of the Prostate Enucleation Collaborative and an assistant professor of urology at Wake Forest University School of Medicine.

Dr. Gerber received her bachelor’s degree in neuroscience and her medical degree at Indiana University. She completed residency at the University of Wisconsin.

Outside of work, Dr. Gerber tries to strike a balance between staying active and unwinding. She enjoys bike riding and tennis, as well as hiking and exploring nature, especially when she can get away to the mountains with her family.
