Biography
“I am passionate about caring for the whole patient and their family.”
Dr. Hayes specializes in providing care for the health and well-being of the whole family, from infants to adults. She is the assistant specialty medical director of Atrium Health CMC - Elizabeth Family Medicine. She is board certified in family medicine.
Dr. Hayes chose to study family medicine because of the opportunity to treat patients and families together. With this approach, healthcare can address the whole person in the context of their unique family environment.
She received her medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina and followed that with a residency at Naval Hospital Bremerton and a University of North Carolina Faculty Development Fellowship.
Dr. Hayes uses research to help improve outcomes and quality of life for her patients. For example, she received an NFL (National Football League) Inspire Change grant to increase breast cancer screening in underserved populations.
In her free time, Dr. Hayes loves playing and traveling with her husband, 3 boys and 2 giant dogs. She is also an avid reader.
