“I'm a nurse practitioner because I'm passionate about caring for others. I'm drawn to family practice because every day is different, and I’m able to make a positive impact on the lives of others.”
Rebecca Hill is a board-certified family nurse practitioner. She treats minor illnesses and injuries, including flu, fevers, lacerations (cuts), sprains, strains, infections, digestive upsets and skin problems. She also performs physical exams for wellness, sports, employment and worker’s compensation.
She became inspired to study nursing by a family practice physician who cared for her as a child.
Hill is active in research on women's health, postpartum mood disorders, health disparities in rural populations, community health and public health. She is a certified nurse educator (CNE).
She was named a Paul Ambrose Scholar by the Association for Prevention Teaching and Research. She was an inaugural visiting nurse scholar for the Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
Hill received her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) at George Washington University.
She enjoys spending her free time with her family and dog. Hill and her husband like traveling, riding their motorcycles and exploring the Carolinas.
