Dr. Rung is board certified in family medicine and specializes in women's health, maternity care and well-child care. She is the site-based medical director at Atrium Health Cabarrus Family Medicine - Harrisburg.
She is both a diplomate and a fellow through the American Association of Family Practitioners (AAFP) and was recognized by the NCQA (National Committee for Quality Assurance) for her diabetes work. She enjoys the variety of family medicine and feels knowing her patients’ families allows her to provide more compassionate and comprehensive healthcare personalized to each patient.
She received her medical degree at Boston University and completed her residency at the University of Massachusetts.
Dr. Rung is married and has a son and a daughter. She hikes and runs to stay fit and sane, and her active family loves time outside. She enjoys baking, needlecrafts and is an avid reader, particularly mysteries.
