Biography

“I treasure the privilege of helping people through both their best and most challenging days, to provide comfort, compassion and excellent healthcare.”

Dr. Rung is board-certified in family medicine and specializes in women's health, maternity care and well-child care. She wears many hats: medical director at Cabarrus Family Medicine - Harrisburg, adjunct assistant professor at the University of North Carolina Department of Family Medicine and affiliate assistant professor at Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina. She was recognized by the NCQA (National Committee for Quality Assurance) for her diabetes work. She is both a diplomate and a degree of fellow through the American Association of Family Practitioners (AAFP).

She loves science and the challenge of figuring out a diagnosis, customizing a treatment plan and helping patients and their families live their best possible lives.

Dr. Rung is married with 2 wonderful children. She runs to stay fit and sane and her active family loves time outside. She enjoys baking, needlecrafts and is an avid reader, particularly mysteries.
