Biography

“I have made a lifelong commitment to women's reproductive health. My goal is to provide excellent care for my patients, to help them optimize fertility and fulfill their desire to have healthy babies.”

Dr. Usadi received her medical degree at Duke University and completed her OB/GYN residency at Memorial Health University Medical Center. She completed a 3-year fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Dr. Usadi is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN) and in reproductive endocrinology and infertility (REI). She specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of infertility using intrauterine insemination, in vitro fertilization (IVF), egg cryopreservation, donor egg IVF, embryo IVF and donor sperm intrauterine insemination (IUI). She has a clinical interest in the treatment of unexplained infertility, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and recurrent pregnancy loss. She has been voted, by her peers, as one of the Top Doctors in Charlotte every year since 2013.

In addition to a busy clinical practice, she is active in clinical research. Dr. Usadi completed the Clinical Research Scientist Training program with the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM). Since 2010, she has been an investigator in the Reproductive Medicine Network and received grants from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to conduct research in PCOS, unexplained infertility, male infertility, weight and fertility, ovulation induction with IUI and pregnancy of unknown location. She is a principal investigator in an NIH-funded trial studying frozen embryo transfers and preeclampsia.

Patients have described Dr. Usadi as a caring physician who provides individualized treatment and takes time to listen to her patients. When not working, Dr. Usadi enjoys spending time with her family, taking long walks on Charlotte greenways with friends, practicing yoga, hiking and cooking.
