“I do my job because I absolutely love to take care of people. It's that simple. I enjoy the diversity and complexity of acute medical needs.”
Rhonda Wright is a board-certified, adult-gerontology acute care nurse practitioner (AGACNP). With a background in critical care medicine, she cares for all acute medical aspects of hospitalized adults and gerontological patients.
Her specialty practice area is the perfect capstone for her career background as a former paramedic and registered nurse. By building on those experiences, Wright brings more than 30 years of expertise to her patients and her team.
She received her master’s degree in nursing at the University of South Carolina.
Wright feels fortunate to make her home in the Uwharrie National Forest with her husband. They are both avid trail runners and hikers. Wright loves to travel and has visited all 50 states. She enjoys volunteering with her local animal shelter and hiking with shelter dogs. She also serves on international medical mission teams and on the board of The Invictus Project.
