Dr. Gardner values building meaningful connections with his patients and their families. He enjoys supporting children through their entire childhood, from infancy to adolescence. One of his favorite things about being a doctor is hearing about his patients’ accomplishments.
Dr. Gardner’s research focuses on primary ciliary dyskinesia and childhood interstitial lung disease. He is committed to his work, stating, “My passion is helping patients live full lives despite chronic diseases. Whether it is a routine visit or acute illness, I enjoy supporting my patients and their families on their road to success. I greatly appreciate the opportunity to improve a patient’s breathing so that they can grow, develop and exercise without limitations.” His dedication to pulmonology stems from a deep fascination with the many functions of the lung.
Dr. Gardner received his medical degree at East Carolina University. He completed residency and a fellowship at the University of North Carolina.
Outside of his professional life, Dr. Gardner cherishes time with his wife and 2 sons.
