In-person visits onlyDr. Robert Nicholson is board certified in emergency medicine and critical care medicine. Conditions he treats include sepsis, shock, respiratory failure and cardiac arrest.
He received a Fellow Teaching Award from the University of Maryland.
Dr. Nicholson received his bachelor’s degree at the University of North Carolina and his medical degree at Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine. He completed residency in emergency medicine at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center and a fellowship in critical care medicine at the University of Maryland.
In his leisure time, Dr. Nicholson enjoys being outdoors with his wife and dogs. He and his wife frequently take trips to hike in the mountains or surf at the beach.
