It’s an honor and a privilege to compassionately care for people in unexpected and often the worst of circumstances.
I’m a doctor who’s board-certified in emergency and disaster medicine. I evaluate and treat all emergent medical conditions. I also focus on disaster preparedness, mitigation, response and recovery.
Prior to attending medical school, I worked as an emergency medical technician (EMT) and was a combat lifesaver for my unit in the U.S. Army Reserve. These exposures to the fast pace and varied pathology within emergency medicine continued through medical school, residency and fellowship.
My research interests include health care technology and cybersecurity, counter-terrorism medicine and disaster medicine.
I received my medical degree at the Medical College of Wisconsin. I completed residency in emergency medicine at Wake Forest University and a fellowship in disaster medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
Outside of work, I like traveling and experiencing new cultures, people and cuisine. I work with several nonprofit organizations. I also enjoy fitness, cooking, photography, videography and having a nice meal and glass of wine with my wife.
