Biography

“Every human being has inherent dignity and value, and each one deserves the very best orthopedic oncology care. I do this job to provide expertise delivered with kindness and compassion.”

Dr. Ryan Voskuil specializes in orthopedic oncology and orthopedic surgery. He focuses on the surgical treatment of bone and soft-tissue sarcomas and benign bone and soft-tissue tumors anywhere in the body. He is skilled at performing total hip and knee replacements for people with joint disease.

He was drawn to this specialty because he enjoys the complex challenges and opportunities to develop valuable relationships with patients and multidisciplinary teams.

His research focuses on orthopedic oncology and sarcoma surgery. He has special interests in juvenile expandable prostheses, reconstructions after bone sarcoma resections, and hip and upper extremity reconstructions in metastatic bone disease.

Dr. Voskuil was nominated for a Dr. Harold Alper Humanitarian Award and received a Faculty Teacher of the Year Award, both at The University of Tennessee.

He received his bachelor’s degree in biology at Erskine College and his medical degree at the Medical University of South Carolina. He completed residency in orthopedic surgery at The University of Tennessee and a fellowship in adult and pediatric musculoskeletal oncology at The Ohio State University.

Away from work, he loves spending time with his wife and 4 wonderful children. The family enjoys fly fishing, exploring new places and searching for the best burgers. They cheer for the Green Bay Packers, UNC Tar Heels, Clemson Tigers, U.S. Men's National Soccer and Charlotte Football Club teams.
