Dr. Umair specializes in internal medicine, focused on primary care, diabetes and hypertension. She is board certified in internal medicine.
As a young child, she watched her mother struggle with health issues. As her mother tried to find answers, Dr. Umair was inspired to study medicine. During medical school rotations, the medical wards brought forward the most interesting cases, which led her to study internal medicine.
Dr. Umair earned her medical degree from Sindh Medical College (now known as Jinnah Sindh Medical University). She completed her residency at St. John's Episcopal Hospital.
Spending time with her husband and son is her favorite thing to do. Whether it’s going out on the town or doing household chores together, the trio enjoys each other’s company.
