Dr. Santosh Gopalakrishnan is board certified in internal medicine and geriatric medicine. He specializes in hospital medicine and caring for the elderly.
Dr. Gopalakrishnan serves as the medical director at Atrium Health Pineville. He has been named a Top Doctor by Charlotte magazine and Physician of the Year at Atrium Health Pineville.
His research interests are in Alzheimer’s disease, dementia and agitation.
Dr. Gopalakrishnan received his medical degree at Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute in Bangalore, India. He completed residency in internal medicine at Wright State University and a fellowship in geriatrics at Tulane University.
He enjoys traveling, music and sports, especially cricket and football.
