Dr. Sara Syeda is board certified in family medicine and obesity medicine. She focuses on hospital medicine, chronic disease management and clinical nutrition.
She is inspired to make a direct impact on patients' lives in a dynamic environment, and she enjoys the variety of cases and intellectual challenges that keep her engaged and motivated.
Dr. Syeda previously served as the chair of medicine at Wilson Medical Center in Wilson, N.C.
She completed residency in family medicine at Texas Tech University and a fellowship in clinical nutrition at Duke University.
Away from work, she loves spending time with her husband and 3 daughters. She also likes jogging, interior design and home decor.
