Sasha Z. Davenport, MD

Dr. Davenport is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist (OB/GYN). She focuses on sexual wellness, dysfunction and gynecologic care of patients.

She is an assistant professor in the Atrium Health Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and serves as the director of Female Sexual Medicine for Atrium Health. Dr. Davenport is also a Fellow of the International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health (ISSWSH), where she serves on the advocacy and education committees.

Dr. Davenport always envisioned being a surgeon, and her passion for women's health eventually led her to pursue a career in OB/GYN. She is a strong advocate for women's sexual wellness and worked with the team at Atrium Health to open the system's first clinic specifically dedicated to women's sexual health.

She is dedicated to increasing education surrounding sexual wellness and problems for women, as well as providing accessible treatments and practical tools for her patients to apply in their daily lives.

Dr. Davenport received her medical degree at St. George's University and completed her residency at the State University of New York.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and child, traveling and going on adventures. She loves to hike, dance and read comedy and adventure books. She also loves playing the piano and previously trained with the Royal Conservatory of Music in Canada.
