Biography
“One of my goals in life is to leave the world a better place than I found it. By helping those around me, I believe I contribute to a healthier society. I also cherish and feel humbled by having patients entrust me with their health. It is a responsibility I take seriously.”
Dr. Sayyad Kyazimzade is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease. He provides interventional cardiology and general cardiology care. Conditions he treats include cardiovascular diseases, coronary artery disease and pulmonary embolisms.
He chose his career for the opportunities to practice in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Interventional cardiology allows him to develop ongoing relationships with people, and he finds satisfaction by providing treatments to help patients feel better.
Dr. Kyazimzade received a Master of Public Health (MPH) at Dartmouth College. He received his medical degree at Georgetown University, where he was awarded a Dean’s Excellence Merit Scholarship. He completed residency in internal medicine at the University of North Carolina. He completed a fellowship in cardiovascular disease at the Medical University of South Carolina, followed by an advanced fellowship in interventional cardiology at the University of North Carolina.
Away from work, Dr. Kyazimzade enjoys exploring his surroundings with his wife, 2 children and dog. He loves traveling, especially on vacations that include a mix of relaxation and adventure. An avid runner, he is striving to complete a half-marathon in every state. His favorite genres to read are science fiction, fantasy and historical fiction.
