Biography
“My motivation for my profession is to provide quality care to those in need regardless of social, ethnic or financial background. We have a great team, which makes it an enjoyable experience to come to work each day, working together to help our patients.”
Dr. Rusteikas is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN). He is particularly interested in high-risk obstetrics, including multiple gestations, pre-eclampsia and diabetes. Additionally, he specializes in gynecologic issues, including contraceptive management, abnormal bleeding, pelvic pain, endometriosis, pelvic inflammatory disease, ectopic pregnancies and infertility.
Two impactful experiences drew him to the OB/GYN specialty. He completed a rotation in obstetrics that he loved, and around the same time, his sister gave birth to her first child. His specialty allows him to bring life into the world and perform both complex and simple surgeries.
Dr. Rusteikas enjoys developing long-term relationships with patients, often treating them from their teenage years until well past menopause and through very intimate moments in their lives.
He received his degree in osteopathic medicine at Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed a residency at Virginia Commonwealth University.
Outside of work, he loves spending time with his wife, Melissa, and their daughter, Finley. They are foodies and enjoy finding new, eclectic and creative restaurants. They also love to travel, and he enjoys the outdoors, including fly-fishing, skiing and golfing. When he has a quiet moment, he enjoys reading classic novels.
