Biography

As a general pediatrician for more than 15 years, my goal is to provide care with excellence and with love while supporting children and their families through every stage of growth and development. I’m board certified in general pediatrics and treat newborn through teen patients.

I’m passionate about prevention, mental and physical wellness and partnering with my patients and families who have complex medical needs.

I received my bachelor's degree in microbiology at Colorado State University and my medical degree at the University of Colorado. Additionally, I received a Master of Public Health (MPH) in epidemiology at the University of California. I completed residency in pediatrics at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh.

I have received grant funding to promote early childhood literacy and to eliminate health disparities. I have also received several academic and community service awards.

Married for more than 20 years, I have two children who are avid tennis players. My favorite hobbies are spending time with my family and learning how to live better – mind, body and spirit. I also enjoy singing, reading, fitness, traveling and serving my community.
