Biography
“I have always wanted to care for the primary caregivers – women. Growing up in a third-world country, I saw a great need for medical care, and I wanted to advocate for change. I believe that good health is one of the cornerstones of the human experience, and I try to inspire my patients every day to be active participants in their well-being.”
Dr. Biscette is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN). She focuses on advanced gynecologic surgery and has clinical interests in endometriosis, fibroids, hysterectomies, Mullerian anomalies (an irregularly shaped or missing uterus or cervix), abnormal uterine bleeding, pelvic pain, surgical outcomes after gynecologic surgery and surgical education.
Her approach to patient care has always been to empower her patients through education, access to evidence-based solutions and accountability.
Louisville Magazine named Dr. Biscette a Top Doctor and a Top Surgeon, and she received an Outstanding Fellow Educator award from the University of Louisville. She received an Excellence in Teaching Award for multiple years from the Association of Professors of Gynecology & Obstetrics.
She is a Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG).
Dr. Biscette received her medical degree at The University of Texas and completed residency at the University of Maryland. She completed a fellowship in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery at the University of Louisville.
When she’s not working, Dr. Biscette enjoys any physical activity, especially yoga and hiking. She also enjoys reading, traveling and exploring vegan cooking.
