Biography
I truly value the personal connections I make with children and their families. Each day, I’m motivated by the trust families place in me and the chance to support children as they grow from birth through adolescence. It’s especially meaningful to guide families through both everyday health needs and the more challenging moments. I also enjoy teaching residents and helping shape the next generation of pediatricians.
I hope to make a positive, lasting impact by building strong, trusting relationships with every family I care for. Preventive care is a big part of that. From offering guidance to providing vaccines, I focus on helping children stay healthy now and in the future.
My approach to care is simple. I believe in open communication and strong partnerships. I encourage questions, listen closely, and work together to make decisions. My goal is to be someone families can trust and turn to, especially when a child needs support.
I am board certified in general pediatrics. I care for children from newborns through adolescence, providing both well visits and sick care. My clinical interests include:
- Care for newborns, including those who have spent time in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU)
- Preventive care and healthy development
- Support for children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)
- Supporting families managing chronic conditions
I’m proud to have received the Early Career Impact in Primary Care Award from the Michigan Medicine Department of Pediatrics. I was also honored with the Joint Service Commendation Medal from the United States Navy. Teaching is an important part of my career. I have more than seven years of experience working with medical students and residents, helping them grow into thoughtful, compassionate physicians.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family. I am married with children, and we love exploring around Charlotte together. Some of our favorite activities include swimming, being outdoors, traveling, and trying new recipes at home. I also enjoy reading whenever I can find a quiet moment.
Thank you for trusting me with your child’s care. I look forward to getting to know your family and supporting your child’s health for years to come.
