Shetul I. Patel, MD

There is no job greater than caring for children. I have always felt a deep commitment to care for, nurture and treat children. I also believe that as doctors, we are teachers, mentors and advocates for our patients and their families. Watching children grow from infants into young adults is one of the best parts of my job. I enjoy bonding with my patients and helping them become the best versions of themselves.

I’m board certified in pediatrics. I’m the lab director at Atrium Health Levine Children's Shelby Children's Clinic.

I have always had a soft spot for children and an innate drive to help sick babies and kids. As a father, I treat my patients as if I were treating my own child.

I received my bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering at Georgia Tech and my medical degree at the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine. I completed residency at The University of Tennessee.

Outside of work, my greatest joy is spending time with my wife and daughter. I love traveling, health and fitness and am an avid tennis player. I am a huge fan of Georgia Tech sports teams and also cheer for the Carolina Panthers.
