Biography
“Treating epilepsy and multiple sclerosis patients is my passion and led me to pursue neurology. After joining neurology, I loved serving the veterans at VA medical center, which created an interest in treating Parkinson's patients.”
Dr. Jayaram is board certified in neurology and epilepsy. She specializes in epilepsy, headaches, multiple sclerosis (MS), Parkinson's disease, injections for migraines, tremors, spasticity and cervical dystonia, trigger points and nerve blocks.
She received her medical degree at Adichunchanagiri Institute of Medical Sciences, completed a residency at the University of Mississippi and a fellowship at Case Western Reserve University.
She is a trailblazer for Epic Systems Corporation and a member of the Outpatient Advisory Council for the Epic Implementation Neurology Specialty Focus Group. Epic Systems Corporation is one of the largest developers of proprietary software for electronic medical records.
She feels neurology is a complex field which is comparable to putting together a jigsaw puzzle. It’s an ever-growing specialty, and she learns every day from her patients.
She won a Fleet Feet Award for the for fastest administration of a clot-busting drug used in Code Stroke (rapid response in the evaluation of a stroke patient).
Outside of work, she loves to cook and spend time with her husband and their sons. They like watching sports and movies, hiking and traveling.
