Shomeet V. Patel, MD

Shomeet V. Patel, MD, is a cardiologist with Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute. He completed his residency at the Medical Center of Central Georgia and was recognized as Internal Medicine Resident of the Year in 2007. He completed his cardiology fellowship at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, SC, where he was awarded Fellow of the Year in 2012.

Prior to joining Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute, Dr. Patel practiced with Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC. Dr. Patel is a member of the American Medical Association and the American College of Physicians.

He has interests in heart failure, clinical echocardiography, valvular heart disease and prevention.
