“Neurology is vast. The nervous system is one of the most complex to understand, which keeps me interested and thinking. I was drawn to acute stroke care because of the interventions we have available, which can make a significant impact on a patient’s recovery.”
Dr. Patel is board certified in neurology and is board eligible for certification in vascular neurology. She specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of neurological disease processes in hospitalized patients and has specialized training in stroke care, particularly in emergent settings.
She completed her undergraduate degrees in microbiology and biomedicine at Clemson University. She received her medical degree at Windsor University and completed residency at Prisma Health Midlands. She completed a fellowship in vascular neurology at Duke University.
When she’s not working, Dr. Patel enjoys spending time traveling, exploring and learning about cultures, and dancing!
