Dr. Nandkeolyar is board certified in internal medicine, echocardiography and cardiology. She specializes in the treatment of advanced heart failure, cardiogenic shock, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, pulmonary hypertension, genetic cardiomyopathies, amyloid cardiomyopathy, heart failure related to chemotherapy, mechanical heart pumps (LVADs) and heart transplantation.

She was drawn to cardiology, particularly advanced heart failure, because she enjoys a specialty with a focus on interesting pathophysiology in a rapidly advancing field that allows patients to live longer and healthier lives.

Dr. Nandkeolyar received her medical degree at the Medical College of Wisconsin and completed residency at the University of California, Irvine. She completed a cardiology fellowship at Loma Linda University and an advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology fellowship at Vanderbilt University.

Dr. Nandkeolyar’s clinical research interests include hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, advanced heart failure and cardiogenic shock, heart transplantation and left ventricular assist devices (LVADs). She has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications in these fields. She is an active member of multiple organizations, including the American College of Cardiology, the American Society of Transplantation, the International Society of Heart and Lung Transplantation and the Heart Failure Society of America.

She is an avid traveler who has visited 17 countries (and counting). In her free time, she enjoys baking, cooking, reading mystery novels, tennis, hiking and snorkeling. She loves spending time with her fiancé, family and friends.
