Gardner is a board-certified adult-gerontology acute care nurse practitioner.
She received the Atrium Health KEAP Award and the Values in Action award several times.
Gardner feels working in healthcare and helping patients is where she was meant to be. Internal medicine, specifically, appeals to her because it allows her to care for the patient as a whole person.
Gardner received her master’s degree in nursing at Maryville University.
She and her husband, who serves in the U.S. Army, have 2 children, Loralai and Xander. As a family, they enjoy being outdoors, hiking and canoeing. She enjoys horseback riding, reading thrillers and volunteering at their local church.
