Lisenby is a board-certified family nurse practitioner and adult-gerontology acute care nurse practitioner. 

She received her master’s degree in nursing at East Carolina University. 

When she’s not working, Lisenby enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, their son and their German shepherd, Dani.
