Biography
“I am committed to serving the community by caring for patients with complex care needs, particularly in an underserved population. I am blessed to have the resources to work with marginalized patients and to be surrounded by equally committed and compassionate colleagues.”
Dr. Kaur is board certified in internal medicine, with a clinical interest in women’s health. She is the associate program director for the Internal Medicine Residency Program and a clinical assistant professor of medicine at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center. She is involved in research on quality improvement in general medicine.
She has been recognized with the Compassionate Care Award by Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center Internal Medicine Residency Program and received a teaching award from the UNC School of Medicine.
Dr. Kaur received her medical degree at Albany Medical College and completed a residency at UR Medicine Strong Memorial Hospital.
When not working, Dr. Kaur enjoys spending time with family. She and her family are active members of the Sikh Community of Charlotte and volunteer locally and nationally with Sikh organizations, including the North American Sikh Medical and Dental Association.
