Koontz is a board-certified physician assistant who specializes in internal medicine.
She is a member of the chronic team at Atrium Health Primary Care North Charlotte Internal Medicine and she completed the Atrium Health Primary Care Advanced Practice Provider Fellowship Program.
In addition to general internal medicine, Koontz has a special interest in performing skin biopsies and helping patients to complete advance directives.
Koontz chose medicine because she has a desire to make a difference in the lives of individual patients and the community.
She received her master’s degree at Wake Forest University.
