Tammy Denise Garcia, FNP

Garcia is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. She is interested in research studying metabolic syndrome in the severe and persistent mentally ill (SPMI) population.

She received her master’s degree in nursing at Winston Salem State University, a post-master’s certificate at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) at the University of North Carolina.

Outside of work, she loves spending time with her 3 grandsons. She also enjoys roller skating and reading.
