Working in palliative care allows me to focus on improving someone's quality of life so they can enjoy as many moments as possible. I enjoy getting to know patients and their families. They have taught me so much over the years, even how to be a better human being.
I’m a board-certified nurse practitioner and advanced certified hospice and palliative nurse. I focus on pediatrics and hospital and palliative medicine.
Working in pediatric oncology and in the pediatric intensive care unit taught me that sometimes the best medicine is helping someone feel better in whatever way possible – by giving a hug, getting outdoors, administering pain medicine or just being present.
I have been awarded the Nurse Practitioner of the Year from Rhode Island Monthly magazine and the Brite Lite Award from Hasbro Children's Hospital.
I received my master’s degree in nursing and my Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Northeastern University.
When I’m not working, I enjoy outdoor activities such as running and hiking. I also love spending time with my two energetic dogs.
