Dr. Tarek Zghaib is a board-certified cardiologist and cardiac electrophysiologist.
He has vast expertise in managing complex arrhythmias, such as atrial fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia, as well as device-based therapies such as lead extraction, leadless pacemakers and subcutaneous ICDs.
Dr. Zghaib’s clinical interest involves integrating advanced mapping and innovative ablation techniques to improve patient outcomes.
His academic works, which span more than 50 peer-reviewed publications in journals such as JAMA Cardiology, JACC, Heart Rhythm, Radiology, and Nature, has helped push the boundaries of the management of complex arrhythmias.
Dr. Zghaib received his medical degree at the American University of Beirut in Lebanon and completed residency in internal medicine at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. He then completed fellowships in cardiovascular medicine and cardiac electrophysiology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where he served as chief fellow.
He is trilingual in English, French and Arabic and aside from clinical work, Dr. Zghaib is passionate about community initiatives and enjoys traveling, skiing and exploring new cuisines.
