Taryn Gialo is a board-certified family nurse practitioner. She specializes in internal medicine.
Her clinical interests include hypertension, Type 2 diabetes, high cholesterol, chronic kidney disease, thyroid disease, preventive care, Medicare wellness exams and primary care.
She chose primary care because she has extensive experience in intensive care nursing, including specialties such as cardiac surgery, oncology and medical intensive care. She is passionate about preventing patients from experiencing long-term complications that can arise from untreated medical conditions.
She received her bachelor’s degree in nursing with a concentration in nutrition at the University of Scranton and her master’s degree in physician assistant studies at Chamberlain University.
Gialo is married, and she and her husband enjoy taking their yellow Labrador, Luna, swimming in the summer. Gialo eats mainly plant-based foods and enjoys cooking a variety of recipes. She likes reading murder mysteries and listening to podcasts on varying themes.
