“For more than 10 years, I have been committed to urogynecology, female urology and pelvic health. I am motivated to help women before childbirth, after childbirth and through the aging years to assure concerns regarding their pelvic health do not hold them back from participating in activities they enjoy.”
Schmitt is a board-certified physician assistant specializing in female pelvic medicine and urogynecology. She has a clinical interest in the diagnosis and treatment of urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse. In her work, she assists with minimally invasive surgeries such as hysterectomies, myomectomies, excision of endometriosis, prolapse repair and incontinence procedures.
She completed her physician assistant training at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in Chicago, Illinois.
Schmitt is married with 3 children. When she’s not working, she enjoys cooking, crocheting,
hiking and watching her kids play sports. She is also an avid runner and has completed many marathons and half marathons.
