“I’ve always been fascinated by how the body, and especially the heart, works. It's an essential part of good health – and a good life.”

Dr. Frank specializes in cardiology and is medical director of the heart transplant and pulmonary hypertension programs at Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute Heart Failure & Transplant Kenilworth. He is board certified in advanced heart failure and transplant.

He has extensive experience in complex conditions and treatments such as advanced heart failure, cardiac transplant and pulmonary hypertension.

The son of a cardiologist, Dr. Frank grew up watching his father care for patients. He was fascinated by the heart’s complex physiology and inspired by the rewarding relationships that his father had with patients. This inspired Dr. Frank to pursue a similar path in his own medical career.

He received his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania. Then, he completed a residency at Yale, a fellowship at Yale-New Haven Hospital and a heart failure-transplant fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania.

Outside of work, Dr. Frank is an avid long-distance runner.
