Dr. Batchelor is board certified in internal medicine and specializes in health promotion and disease prevention. He is the medical director of Atrium Health Primary Care North Charlotte Internal Medicine Huntersville.
Dr. Batchelor has been named a Charlotte Magazine Top Doctor, an Atrium Health Pinnacle Award Finalist and an Emory University School of Medicine Best House Officer and Best Medicine Officer. Additionally, he has been recognized by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) for his work with diabetes, heart and stroke patients and for providing a patient-centered approach to care.
He is well trained in the diagnosis of puzzling medical problems, the ongoing care of chronic illnesses and caring for patients with more than one disease. He has a strong desire to prevent chronic illnesses, medical catastrophes and have long-term relationships with patients and their families.
He received his medical degree at the University of Virginia and completed a residency at Emory University.
Outside of work, he and his wife own and run Triple Play Farm, which offers Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy (EFP), and have 3 sons. Dr. Batchelor also spends a lot of his free time doing health advocacy work.
