Biography
“I am motivated to help patients improve their lives and become an expert in managing their disease. Each patient has to live with their condition daily, while I only see them a few times a year. I see my role as both a teacher and advisor to my patients so they can meet their own health goals.”
Dr. Cameron is board certified in internal medicine. He specializes in endocrinology with a focus on diabetes, thyroid, adrenal, bone and pituitary disorders.
He was diagnosed in college with Type 1 diabetes, which inspired him to pursue a career in medicine. He is especially interested in studying the varied pathology that occurs in the endocrine system.
Dr. Cameron received his medical degree at the University of Arkansas. He completed residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism at the University of North Carolina.
Outside of work, he spends time with his wife, his 2 sons and their dog, Pilot. They enjoy neighborhood walks, going to parks and taking trips to the mountains for hiking and relaxing. Dr. Cameron likes listening to various podcasts, reading historical nonfiction and watching Arkansas Razorbacks sports.
