Thomas Carota is a board-certified family nurse practitioner. He specializes in treating cardiovascular disease.
His career choice was motivated not only by helping others but also by his own family history of hyperlipidemia, hypertension and coronary artery disease. He is also fascinated by the complexity of the heart's mechanical and electrical systems and how they work together.
Carota received his master’s degree in nursing at the University of Cincinnati.
Outside of work, he loves spending time with his wife and 2 cats, as well as traveling and visiting extended family and friends. He also enjoys many types of exercise, including lifting weights, playing sports and running.
